reflection of final cyberbullying
From the time I started this video project until now I have learned a lot about how to film, edit, and communicate with group members so that the project got done in time. What I am most proud of is the collage because it was something I didn't know how to do before but it ended up being a cool part of the video. As we finished up the rough draft and watched the ending of the video where the girl is walking by herself, I felt emotional because the song was sad and the girl looked sad. I feel like the message was clear. The most helful comments were from Dr. A because they were specific and told me exactly what second something sounded off. There was one comment from a classmate which gave me the name of the "random girl", so im thankful for that.
On my final video I took out a clip from the intro. With my group we adjusted the placement of the clips. Then the sound was nonfunctional with the visual part of the video. So all the noise levels had to be highered in the titles and when interviewee's spoke the volume was lowered. Adjusting the sound level was time consuming but it was important part of the video so it flowed. Also we edited the title names by taking off last names and giving the "random girl" a title.
If I had the chance to redue this video it would be completely different. First of all I would interview students in a quieter location( maybe inside a class room) because it was difficult to hear what they were saying. The peacful intro would be different; there would still be peacful scenery but I would have quick cuts of a hand texting in the dark with intense music coming in and out of the intro. I would also get more interviews from people and get there names in the process. I would also make the video shorter because after watching other groups videos I noticed the ones that I remembered were the shortest. If I were to redue the video now I would have a lot more knowledge than before like editing. In the beginning I didn't know much about editing despite the workshops. Also the filming an angles would be different because they didn't get peoples goodside. Even though the making of a Sexting informational video was tedious, it was worth it because now I can look back at it and only get better.
