HAPPY CULTURAL EXPERIENCES

Given the small amount of time our class had to make our culteral holiday videos, I commented that many of them were well done. A couple of them had unique beginning and funny endings. The entire class did very well on inpoints and outpoints. Ivy and I did well on reciting our lines. There weren't any noticable mistakes because we had practiced before we shot our clips. WE started out in our video with a Christmas background before we began to delve into our culteral holidays. It was a conversation between the both of us, each with our own interesting background. We had thought about having multiple backgrounds but it didn't look as nice. our editing took a while because the first time it didn't turn out the best but we took the time to go back and do it over. We did have a very interesting song picked out for our video. The plan had been to play in loud in the opening title and lower the volume while we talked, but unfortunately we ran out of time. If you have any interest in listening to it you can find it at http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/3755. The credits have all the information they need and they scroll.
Many of the groups in our class had quirky little things. For example Ryan's and John's tella porting was unique. There were also other groups that made the video more inviting by starting our with both students saying happy holidays. Also Cesar and Juans ending with the slit screen was adorable and was very welcoming. Ivy and I got caught up in the informational part of the video. I would have liked to have a split screen in the end. Its something I would like to learn next semester.
First of all to create our video we had to make big script cards, we practiced them in class before we filmed. We supported eachother with smiles as we filmed eachother. We both had separate computers, Ivy uploaded the video and I began searching for music and pictures.
We worked with the green screen on the After effects. We decided to do the editing over because we missed a couple of things that were making the clips blurry. We added the backgrounds and gave title named to both of our clips. We organized our clips in order. We got help from Dr. A a couple of times. Thanks to him we finished our credits which were a bit confusing. We exported the video onto each of our blogs.
I helped Ivy by supporting her in her decisions and giving advice as to what we should do. I looked up the pictures and the music. I assured her we would get the project done no matter how long it took. Ivy helped me understand how the green screen editing worked. She helped me out as I edited my clips from the video.
If I had another chance at making the video I would have liked filming something more welcoming. I would have liked using a split screen at the end instead of flying through the script. Every thing else I wouldn't change because it was all part of the learning process.
